Reception's Calne Scavenger Hunt!

On Monday 17th June, Reception went on a fantastic Calne town centre scavenger hunt.  Along the way they visited the Library, Post Office and Supermarket.  Employees very kindly spent time talking to the children about how things work and invited them to demonstrate their super questionning skills!


Go Go Go Joseph!

On Friday 14th and Saturday 15th June, we were delighted to present a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Pupils in Years 5 and 6 sang and danced their hearts out, bringing an old favourite to life in the Southwell Hall! 


Enterprise Week at St Margaret's Prep

Huge Congratulations to the staff and pupils of St Margaret’s Prep who raised an incredible £900 for our School Charity, the Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital, during our Enterprise Week!


Visiting Artists Ignite Interests for our Prep Pupils

The Art Room has been busy lately, with two visiting artists running workshops for our pupils. Sarah Glazier-Hart ran a session for our Year 6 classes, while Stephen Ellis joined our Year 4- Yeat 6 Art Club last week!


Residential Season Well Underway at St Margaret’s!

Residential season is well and truly here, with Years 4, 5 and 6 all enjoying adventures this term! At St Margaret’s we talk a lot about our pillar ‘Fostering Exploration’.  Mr Bromwich often refers to this as the pupils pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone to experience or learn something new.


Eco Committee Lead Bag2School Initiative

On Friday 10th May, we were pleased to hand over the contributions donated by the St Margaret’s community to Bag2School. Bag2School is a free eco-friendly fundraising scheme that helps schools, businesses, community groups, local councils, and charities raise funds through textile recycling as well as spreading textile recycling awareness.  


History Brought to Life for Year 2!

On Friday 19th April, Year 2 kicked off their new unit of learning all about the Victorians with an adventure to Sevington Victorian School.


Cycling Skills for Life for Year 6

Year 6 started the Summer Term term on their bikes, learning key skills and gaining confidence to cycle on the road. Each class took on two days of Bikeability training, learning that while cycling is of course a fun hobby, it is also a key life skill and knowing how to ride safely on today’s roads is an essential life skill!


Fledglings Start their Preparations to Fly the Bluebird Nest!

A huge well done to our Fledglings (pre-schoolers), who are getting ready to start Reception in September – they have been practising walking down to our Dining Hall for their lunches!


Springtime Cheer with our Annual Easter Hat Parade

On Wednesday 27th March, we celebrated the end of the Spring term with our annual Easter Hat Parade. There was much excitement in school as the children delighted in sharing their creations with each other.
