Parents' Association

St Margaret's places great importance on links with parents and enjoys the support of an active Parents’ Association.

All parents belong to the Association, with representatives for each year group elected annually onto the Committee Team at the AGM at the start of each academic year. The representatives act as a voice for all the parents in their year on general matters and arrange events such as coffee mornings and social evenings, as well as ensuring that all new parents are welcomed.

In addition to supporting key school events (Harvest Festival, Spring Concerts and Pantomimes), the PA team coordinate various fundraising activities including cake and plant sales, the Christmas Present Sale (Secret Santa), Christmas Raffle and the St Margaret’s Tea Towel. Last academic term ended with 'SummerFest' - an incredible festival for the children at the end of the last day of term - a welcome new addition to the PA's calender!

Money raised from the activities benefits the children directly, as the funds are re- invested back into the school. Most recently, PA  funds have paid for our trim trail,  which was installed in 2021,  as well as a set of Virtual Reality headsets, which bring learning to life in our classrooms.

Parents are welcome to join the Committee in organising the activities, baking or to come along and meet families from the different year groups.
