The happiness, health and wellbeing of our entire school community is at the centre of life at St Margaret’s and we place great importance on the relationship between parents, pupils and staff.
Maintaining open and positive relationships with our parents plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, motivation and all-round development of each child in our care. We adopt a holistic, family-focused approach and understanding the whole child is of central importance to all staff at the school. We aim to ensure each child feels valued and secure. We nurture individuality by encouraging meaningful relationships amongst peers, teachers and the wider school community. Our rich and broad curriculum provides opportunities for our children to discover and explore their interests - our children enjoy their learning here.
Children spend plenty of time outdoors and in nature. Our beautiful campus provides many opportunities for children to take their learning outdoors, from the Early Years' Courtyard, to our woodland garden and outdoor classroom, to our 'quiet garden', we have abundant space for children to play and learn in nature, which is something we really believe contributes to their wellbeing.
Mrs Polly Marsh, Head of Learning Enhancement and Wellbeing oversees our wellbeing initiatives. Mrs Marsh is a member of the school's Senior Leadership Team and ensures wellbeing remains at the heart of the school.
