Chamber Choir Reach Final of Banardo's National Choral Competition

Congratulations to our Chamber Choir, who were selected to perform at Barnardo’s National Choral Competition – the largest of its kind in the UK.

Over 60 schools competed to win a place at this prestigious final, which took place at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall last week. Our Chamber Choir was one of the 15 Junior Schools who were selected to perform, and they did so superbly! Mrs Gibbin was delighted with their performance and each member of the choir represented our school brilliantly.

The day culminated in a performance of two mass pieces, where all the choirs performed together. We are pleased to share we have recently received our feedback from the day from the judging panel, who graded our performances in the top two categories, with the choir's second piece in the highest category, judging it as 'a performance that is outstanding in artistry and technique and shows a complete understanding of the music, combined with the ability to communicate to the audience.'
