Year 5 and 6 Bring the 'Tale as Old as Time' to Life

Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 pupils, as well as the whole staff team for two outstanding performances of Beauty and the Beast.

Audiences were wowed by the beautiful singing, incredible acting and the energy the children brought to the stage in both their performances.  As always our Year 6 pupils shone in the starring roles, and Year 5 supported brilliantly with superb singing - it will be their time to take on the bigger roles next year!

The costumes were absolutely fantastic (thank you to our amazing parents, and Mrs White!) and the stage looked wonderful, thanks to Mrs Paroussi who has been busy in the art room in order to transform the Southwell Hall.  Jess performed as Belle brilliantly, and Augustus proved to be a terrifying, yet sensitive 'Beast', Henry encapsulated Gaston's gusto superbly and our 'servants' were absolutely incredible - well done Emilia, Penny, Millie and Alice!

Well done to everyone involved - performances like this do not 'just happen'.  They require a huge amount of work behind the scenes and every staff member supported in one way or another! Mr Bromwich commented:

'Congratulations to everyone who has been involved in this wonderful performance of a story which teaches us the importance of looking beyond appearances to find inner beauty, in a similar way, the talents of our pupils run far deeper than the eye can see... you have all demonstrated the St Margaret's spirit and risen to the challenges that come with putting on a show of this calibre. Well done everyone!'
