Year 4 Take a Walk on the Wild Side!
Last week, Year 4 visited Bristol’s Wild Place project to enrich their Geography and Science curriculum. They learnt all about the Savanna Biome and the different animals which make this place their home.
The children visited the giraffe house, created Savanna food chains, and looked at how animals adapt to their habitat.
After a picnic lunch in the sunshine and a walk around Bear Wood (where we were lucky enough to spot lynxes in the trees, a sleeping wolverine and 3 wolves) we took part in the Animal Detectives workshop. This was a great opportunity to share their fantastic knowledge of animal classification with some games and activities.
A great day was had by all!
