Take 10 to Read

Last week, pupils across St Margaret's enjoiyed participating in the National Literacy Trust's 'Take 10 to Read'. On Tuesday 10th October, at 10 o'clock, children and staff stopped their busy days and enjoyed sharing a book with a friend, or found a quiet spot to enjoy a story alone.

Pre-Prep took their reading outside, while Year 6 even managed to take a pause from their school trip at STEAM and our staff team also found a quite moment to enjoy a good book!

We like any excuse to get stuck into a story, and this was just another opportunity to highlight the benefits of reading. At a time where screens are so available to young people, the message that we can take a pause at any moment to enjoy a book, seems an important one to remind our pupils of!
