St Margaret's celebrate Book Week in style!

This week, we have been celebrating our annual Book Week and the joy of reading - and what a week it has been!
On Monday, we welcomed author and poet John Dougherty to the school.  He shared his love of storytelling and he brought along his guitar and delighted our pupils with his poems and music.

On Tuesday, the whole school read together in a ‘Drop Everything and Read’ session, on Wednesday we shared breakfast with a story and of course, Book Week would not be Book Week without the opportunity to dress up as your favourite book character for World Book Day and yesterday everyone looked fantastic in all the different costumes on show - staff included!

Finally, our library is now filled with the beautiful dioramas the pupils have been making at home.  Each shoebox tells a story and the classes had fun today exploring the work and guessing each story.

Thank you to Mrs Talbot, our Reading Subject Leader, who has organised a very enjoyable week for the children.
