Pudding Lane comes to Year 2
Yesterday, Year 2 kicked off their new unit of learning all about The Great Fire of London with an action-packed day of themed activities to 'hook' them into their new learning!
They made their own 'Pudding Lane' bakery and enjoyed making their own bread - thankfully our Grounds Team had no no fires to put out!
The children learnt how precious commodities were placed underground during the fire and went on a treasure hunt to find their own buried cheese and 'wine' to accompany their freshly baked bread for a delicious afternoon snack!
A little bit of St Margaret's Magic to really ignite the children's interests in what will be a busy few weeks of history learning!
