Party time for Paddington and Reception!

Last week the Reception classroom was awash with red, white and blue as the children planned and prepared for a Paddington themed New Year’s Tea Party.

They coloured placemats, made cake toppers and hats, wrote a class menu and invitations to their teddy bears, and sequenced instructions to make marmalade sandwiches.

They made and tried their own sandwiches using different flavours of marmalade and blind-voted for their favourite. On the menu there was also marmalade muffins, marmalade jelly, Pom-Padding-Bears, orange slices and 'marmalade' juice!

Their teddy bears were the perfect guests a great time was had by all. Another great example of child-led, immersive learning in our Early Years!
