A Superb Performance of Hansel and Gretel from Lower Prep

There were no signs of the 'January Blues' at St Margaret's last week, with two fun-filled performances of Hansel and Gretel from Years 3 and 4.

The children delighted their audiences with wonderful acting, singing and dancing.  The show was filled with all the usual panto fare - lots of fun and giggles, 'goodies' and 'baddies', boos and hisses and 'he's behind yous'.

Huge congratulations to all the children in Years 3 and 4 for all their hard work in preparation for the shows.  The Panto is a wonderful opportunity for the children to perform to an audience and for our Year 3 pupils, it's the first 'show' of their time in Prep.  They play more of a supporting role in the chorus, while the Year 4 children shine in the lead roles - we were thoroughly entertained by Magnus and Izzy as the Robbers and Annabelle's performance as the Stepmother. Narrators Mollie, Harry, Jason and Zac were fantastic and Pheobe and Abi shone as Hansel and Gretel.

Preparing for these performances requires resilience, patience and hard work and teaches our children that when we work together as a collective, we can produce something amazing!
