A Sunny September Start!

It has been wonderful to welcome everyone back to St Margaret's for a very sunny start to the Autumn Term!

The pupils have settled into their routines with their new teachers, and they have thoroughly enjoyed being reunited with their friends.  Well done to all our new pupils who have joined us this week – we have been hugely impressed with how everyone has settled into the pace of life at St Margaret’s. On this point, we welcomed our new parents to school on Wednesday for our annual ‘Welcome Tea’ and had the pleasure of introducing the team as well as several members of our Parents’ Association and the Calne Foundation Trust.  All our new families are most welcome to our school and this community!

On Tuesday, we began the week with a whole school assembly on the theme ‘Life is a Journey’. We discussed the various journeys we had all taken over the holidays and how we had prepared for them. We used this to draw parallels with our educational journeys and we concluded that by applying our School Values of Curiosity, Kindness, Respect, Courage, Integrity and Perseverance, we can be well-equipped to face learning challenges in the classroom. These are our guiding principles that underpin everything we do at St Margaret’s and help to ensure that each of our pupils can ‘Inspire Excellence’ in their own, unique way, in a supportive and caring environment.

As we look forward to next week, we will be hosting our ‘Orientation and Meet the Teacher’ sessions and we look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to these events.

The year ahead has much to offer and there is lots to look forward to – here’s to the next step in our journey!
