Years 1 and 2 Deliver a Christmas Hoedown at St Margaret's Prep

On Wednesday 6th December, Years 1 and 2 delivered a fabulously sparkly performance of 'Prickly Hay'. The children treated us to a truly festive performance, jam-packed with fantastic singing, dancing and performance.

As usual, our Year 2s took the starring roles, ably supported by Year 1, who next year will step into the bigger roles.

The story followed a stable hand and her two little shrew friends, who prepared the manger for the arrival of Baby Jesus. The theme of this year’s nativity focussed on how important it is not to overlook the small, seemingly insignificant acts, which contribute to the bigger picture. Our stable hand felt overlooked and under-valued, but it was her hard work which allowed the manger to be ready for Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus.

At the end, Mr Bromwich thanked the children and staff for all their hard work in preparing this performance, and spoke about the importance of this message, and how we all have a role to play in contributing to the bigger picture!

A huge well done to our Pre-Prep pupils, and of course our fantastic team who bring the nativity magic to life!
