Go Go Go Joseph!
On Friday 14th and Saturday 15th June, we were delighted to present a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Pupils in Years 5 and 6 sang and danced their hearts out, bringing an old favourite to life in the Southwell Hall!
Many speak fondly of their own experience of this show, and Year 5 and 6’s brought their own energy to the lyrics, making it a rendition which was as fresh and as witty as ever! Mrs Gibbin, Head of Performing Arts said: ‘When selecting a show for this cohort, we knew we needed parts worthy of every one of these exceptional singers and actors.’ After a long rehearsal process, every single performer should be congratulated on a spectacular performance which was filled with joy, colour and fun.
At the end of Saturday’s performance, Mr Bromwich thanked our incredible staff team who worked so hard to produce a show of this calibre. He said : ‘ I knew our talented Year 5 and 6 pupils would be suitably challenged by the complexity of the script and would do my all-time favourite musical justice! As anticipated, they have risen to the challenge and done just that.’
Huge congratulations to Year 5 and 6 for delivering a show we will always remember!
