Huge Congratulations to the staff and pupils of St Margaret’s Prep who raised an incredible £900 for our School Charity, the Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital, during our Enterprise Week!
Each class was given £20 to invest in a product. They had to consider their market, their product design, what materials and costs there were involved in production, and then, of course, they had to market their product.
Throughout Enterprise Week, St Margaret’s was abuzz with excitement as the children considered their business ideas. Each class had to work collaboratively to be ready for the St Margaret’s Marketplace, which took place on the Friday before Half Term, where the school came together to purchase each other’s products.
The variety on offer was incredible – we had portraits drawn by Reception, toffee apples from Year 1, Year 2 created friendship bracelets to sell, Year 3 had their very own pizzeria, Year 4 painted rocks, Year 5 designed key rings and Year 6’s sold refreshing slushies.
The children were truly captivated by their projects and thoroughly enjoyed the whole process, and this was a fantastic opportunity for them to really focus in on not only their Maths skills but also their PSHEE learning.
A big thank you to Mrs Harlock and Miss Coombes for organising such a fantastic week!
