On Friday 28th June, after our Annual Prize Giving, we enjoyed an afternoon of superb sporting efforts on the track and field for our Sports Day.
After a picnic lunch, children (and parents!) proudly represented their houses in a range of athletics events. As usual, our tack races proved very competitive, with parents cheering on from the side and the astro filled with activities such as high jump, hockey and hoop shooting, where pupils gave it their all to earn precious points for their houses.

Well done to everyone for bringing such enthusiasm and energy to each event! In the end, there could only be one winner, and this year it was the turn of Avebury to be presented with the Sports Day Trophey. House Captain Christopher came to the stage to receive the prize on behalf of his house from Chair of the Parents’ Association Mrs Jo Latham.
A delicious afternoon tea was then served, and the children enjoyed very well-deserved cupcakes!
A huge thank you to our Sports Team, led by Mr Dury, for hosting such a fantastic afternoon!
