We are delighted to announce that, following a rigorous recruitment process, we have appointed Mr Alex Hopkins, to succeed Mr Luke Bromwich, as the new Head of Prep School from September 2024.
After five years of exceptional leadership and commitment to our school, our Headmaster Mr Luke Bromwich will be leaving St Margaret’s Prep at the end of this academic year. We are excited to share that Mr Bromwich has been successfully appointed as Head of Prep at Brighton College, Abu Dhabi - we will bid him and his family a very fond farewell at the end of the Summer Term as they start this exciting new adventure.

Mr Hopkins, who has been serving as Deputy Head Academic for the past four years, brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and passion for education to the post. We are confident that under Mr Hopkins' leadership, St Margaret’s Prep will grow and flourish, maintaining its reputation for excellence in education and pastoral care, together with its holistic prominence.
As Head of Prep School, Mr Hopkins will oversee the day-to-day operations of St Margaret’s Prep, and will work closely with Mrs Anne Wakefield, our incoming Head of St Mary’s Calne and St Margaret’s Prep, to foster further collaboration and cohesion across our school community.
